Piano and Music Theory

Crystal graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree, majoring in piano performance, from King’s College London, and has completed her master’s degree in piano performance at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. During her time at King’s, she achieved the Licentiate of the Royal Schools of Music (LRSM) qualification.

She has performed extensively as both a soloist and collaborative musician. As soloist, she performed the Shostakovich Piano Concerto No. 2 with the King’s College London Modern Music Society Orchestra in March 2022, and has given numerous solo recitals at venues including St James’ Sussex Gardens, Waltham Abbey, Old Royal Naval College Chapel, Burgh House, and various churches and historic space. She plays a diverse repertoire ranging from the early works of Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, and Haydn to the later compositions of Rachmaninoff, Dohnányi, Prokofiev, Debussy, Mompou, and Chopin, among others.

Alongside her solo career, Crystal is an active chamber musician, performing with the Noctifer Trio and Skazka Trio at venues including St Alfege’s Church and Wigmore Hall. She has also served as orchestral pianist with the PJA Orchestra, performing at The Club for Acts and Actors and King’s College London Chapel.
