Osian Clarke
Piano and Singing
Bmus (Hons), MA, LRAM, ARSM
Osian is 25 years old and is from South Wales. He graduated from the very prestigious Royal Academy of Music in London with a BMus (Hons) degree in Vocal Performance and Opera Studies in 2023. He graduated from his Masters Degree in Musical Theatre in 2024, also at the Royal Academy of Music.
Osian is a member of the world-famous Philharmonia Chorus. Osian has performed with the chorus at numerous concerts at both The Royal Festival Hall and The Royal Albert Hall.
Osian attended the Junior Conservatoire at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff and won a major competition there – ‘The Betty Richards’ prize. As part of the Cardiff Singer of the World week Osian was selected for a masterclass by Dame Felicity Lott at the Dora Stoutzker Concert Hall at the RWCMD.
As well as his solo work, Osian has always had a passion for performing and has taken part in many youth productions including playing Marius in Les Misèrables, Danny in Grease, Link in Hairspray, Horton in Seussical and Mr Warbucks in Annie.
A highlight for Osian as a young performer was successfully auditioning for the Urdd production of Les Misèrables, securing the part of Courfeyrac in the show. It ran for five performances at the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff and he performed on the West End stage in The Sondheim Theatre as part of the show’s 30th Anniversary celebrations. He has also appeared on S4C’s Heno and Noson Lawen programmes, and was a guest soloist on Rhys Meirion’s 20th Anniversary Tour. At 18, Osian was invited to S’Hertogenbosch, Holland to sing as the soloist in a gala concert, commemorated the liberation by the 53rd Division.
Since graduating Osian has been auditioning and is trying to begin his career. He auditioned and secured a lead role for a workshop for a new musical which took place in October 2024 where they performed the new work to an audience of producers and directors. In November 2024 Osian joined the chorus and performed ‘I Am Harvey Milk’ at Cadogan Hall in London for two performances, which was nominated for a WhatsOnStage Award for ‘Best Concert’. In April 2025 Osian performed in the Gladiator concert at The Royal Albert Hall with the Philharmonia Chorus. Last summer Osian was a part of a new production of ‘Under Milk Wood’, which was adapted into an Opera, performing at the Spitafields Festival and Prestigne Festival. Before Christmas Osian played the lead character of ‘Bryn’ in the pantomime ‘Rapunzel’ which played at two venues with over thirty performances. Osian will be performing at St Pauls Cathedral in Verdi’s Requiem and the BBC Proms doing Beethoven 9 this summer
