Hello, my name is Lauren and I am a saxophone and clarinet teacher from North Yorkshire who enjoys sharing my musical knowledge with all my students. After starting my life in the countryside, I moved to Florida at the age of 10 where I discovered my passion for performing and teaching. As my music skills advanced overseas I decided to pursue my undergraduate degree at Stetson University in Florida before moving to London to complete my master’s degree at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance.
Throughout my travels, I expanded my teaching techniques and encountered how important it is to listen to and understand what a student wants to gain from music. Whether you want to learn an instrument for fun or on a more professional level I believe everyone should have a good time developing the confidence to perform a simple tune. I am delighted to work for Putney Music School and can’t wait to explore all the musical genres with my students.
